My opponent drafted a stupid skirmisher army and got flattened, so it didn't serve as a good proof of concept. The third game, I drafted 4 groups of dark riders and a mix of shielded infantry and shielded missile units. The shield dreadswords and dreadspears got massacred by the elven infantry too. Both were pincushions, and my anti-infantry infantry (corsairs) never made it to the front line. instead opting to use a dragon-mounted dreadlord and a hydra.
It didnt take them long, however, to realize that there is nothing to beat seeing your team wipe out the opposition and win a hard-fought Blood Bowl game High Elf teams, of which. They believed there was no more to Blood Bowl than two teams of uncivilized yobs pummeling each other senseless in a display of mindless violence. I tried dark elves and the same thing happened. When Blood Bowl was first played, High Elves disdained the game. My infantry line didn't last very long and King Loeun (even with that huge resistance to missiles) didn't last long either. First I played bretonnia, but only brought 2 groups of cav (one was anti-large as well) and they couldn't get through. I tried a few games against the elves last night and got smoked on two of them.
If someone relates to or through them, these are typically dead. The nearest thing to an ally might be Bretonnia, thou this can be instead a silent arrangement (afterwards it actually was clarified your Bretonnias are in fact. If, for instance, I charge a spear line with cheap cavalry, and then charge it again with good cavalry, does the spear line still negate the charge bonus? Or is it not 'braced' Timber Elves:they are incredibly isolationistic and hardly connect with the outside globe, including some other elves.
